Blue sapphire rings have been blessed with a royal touch since the time Princess Diana got engaged with one. And, recently with Prince Williams also gifting the same to his fiancée, it has become one of the favorite choices for an engagement ring.
The deep-blue colored sapphires are best captured in a classic solitaire ring setting. Most of us are aware of the simple solitaire setting, but, there are many beautiful variations for the same. Some are; sapphire four prong solitaire, tapered cathedral setting, ridged contour setting, sapphire four prong knife-edge solitaire setting, antique solitaire setting, ridged top solitaire setting. A nicely cut or shaped blue sapphire in any of these ring settings is an impressive choice.
For a sparkling blue sapphire engagement ring, few more precious stones may be crafted around the sapphire in intricate designs. The most favorite choice for the additional gems is the diamonds. Even a few very small diamonds set along the blue sapphires greatly accentuate the ring. Few choices for men are; round sapphire bezel set ring with pave set diamonds, round sapphire prong set ring, sapphire bar channel set ring. Blue sapphire rings for men are preferable in 18K white gold whereas for women both the white gold as well as yellow gold is splendid choices.
Another radiant choice for women's rings with sapphires is the pink sapphire engagement rings. The sparkle and subdued vibrancy of a pink sapphire is unique and reflects warmth and happiness, characters one may easily identify with a woman. The ring settings for pink sapphires are similar to the blue sapphire rings. The sparkle of pink and the dazzle of diamonds blend impressively to form pink sapphire ring with diamonds, a stunning piece of jewelry. Each ring piece in this combination is resplendent in white gold, but, if one desires a royal splendor then it may be set in yellow gold metal.
Make the engagement a more memorable occasion by moving away from diamonds and rubies and choosing a blue or pink sapphire ring.
